| Just reading recently about Philip... When God's angel told him to go to a certain road, Philip "arose and went." When the Spirit told him to go catch up to a chariot up the road, Philip "ran." And when the eunuch asked Philip about the scripture, he "opened his mouth, and... preached Jesus to him." A short while later, Philip baptizes the eunuch. Philip had an action packed day (traveling, running, preaching, baptizing), but the cool thing is that Philip wasn't rushing around in a complete frenzy trying to fulfill a bunch of good deed obligations that day, stressing about too much to do with too little time and not enough resources. No, Philip was just hearing from God and responding in obedience immediately -- not beating around the bush and taking half the day summoning enough courage to do what God said to do. I admire Philip. He, in this instance, is a pretty straightforward guy. I need more of a Philip state of mind. I don't always respond to God's leading with the promptness and boldness that He deserves and expects from me.

Display a bouquet of sharpened pencils; hang an autumn wreath; display
pumpkins or leaves; burn apple spice candle, etc.
Tuesday Wear Fall Colors Day – Browns, oranges, yellows, reds, etc., closed toed shoes

| Well, I'm still livin' (despite this lengthly absence from Xanga). I'm abashed that it is May now, and the last entry here was January. Since then, much has transpired in this life of mine and in the lives of people that I hold very dear. But let's talk about the more present moments. This evening Bonnie, Mom, Dad and I visited Granny, who is turning 90 years old tomorrow. I love Granny, and I hope I can be like her when I'm 90 -- still keeping up with the happenings of each member of the family, keeping up with the Mav's, gardening, cooking, continually cracking jokes about various ailments... She makes getting old sound like fun even though she warns us that it stinks to get her age sometimes. Well, that's it for now. No time for further ramblings, but I do plan to check in soon. This month.

| Oh the happiest Christmas is a homecoming Christmas... OK, let me know if you can't view the video. I'm trying to figure this thing out; I can't get a better quality video to upload to Xanga; it's a bit fuzzy. " target="_new"> | | |
